Pastoral Candidate Introduction
The First Lutheran Call Committee will introduce Rev. Matthew March to the congregation as candidate for Senior Pastor on Sunday, August 22, 2010. Rev. March and his wife have been invited to join us for worship and a covered dish lunch.
Please plan to attend this very important weekend.
Sunday, August 29th we will hold a meeting of the Congregation immediately after worship to consider extending a call to this candidate.
Last month FLC welcomed Sara Ehrich as our Youth Director. Sara grew up on Colleyville, TX with her parents and two older sisters. She attended the University of Texas in Arlington in the Pre-Nursing field for a year before following her call into youth ministry. She attended Concordia University in Austin, TX and graduated Cum Laude with a Director of Christian Education Degree, emphasis in Theology.
After graduating, Sara moved to Pensacola, Florida and served her internship at Grace Lutheran Church. When her internship was complete she moved to San Marcos to marry Whit. She worked for him as his office manager in his IT company for three years before joining the ministry team at First Lutheran Church. Sara and Whitt are the proud parents of an active 9 month old baby boy, Leo.

Welcome Texas State Students!
First Lutheran Church welcomes you to San Marcos and invites you to make First Lutheran your place of worship on Sunday mornings. All university students, faculty, and friends are welcome to participate in Higher Ground.
Christ Chapel is the Lutheran-Episcopal campus ministry at Texas State University-San Marcos. It is affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas and the Southwestern Texas Synod of the ELCA, and is based at St. Mark's Episcopal Church adjacent to the Texas State campus. Christ Chapel meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for Bread and Belonging then again on Sunday evenings for a free supper at 6:15 p.m. and Worship with Holy Communion at 7:00 p.m.
